HILTON HEAD DREAM WEDDING SEARCH
From the sounds of the golf clubs on the Toptracer Range to the ocean waves crashing on the beaches of Hilton Head, Michelle and Matt found themselves picking their perfect destination wedding right here at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort.
Venue signs first pointed to the south as it holds a special place in Michelle’s heart. She went to school at USC in South Carolina. Michelle & Matt’s story started when they met in Houston, Texas. They both really wanted a destination wedding feel without making their family and friends (from all around the US) travel to the Caribbean.
Michelle & Matt found Palmetto Dunes Resort during their search and did a zoom tour of The Dunes House, and knew it was another great fit for them. They loved that the wedding could be in the sand, the reception on the patio overlooking the beach, and the fact that there were 3 golf courses and Toptracer Range right there was a bonus.
TOPTRACER WELCOME PARTY
The groom is an avid golfer, along with family members & friends, and it meant a lot to be able to incorporate golf into their wedding weekend. The Event Coordinator suggested the Toptracer Range as a welcome party spot and after they visited, it felt like a perfect combination of their wishes - a cocktail party and golf. “We were able to rent out the entire area so guests had space to mingle while hitting balls and even had corn hole boards set up for folks to play. Our guests loved it,” Michelle said.
“The Welcome Reception at the Toptracer Range honestly turned out even better than we could've imagined. We received great feedback on it and we've heard from so many people how much fun it was. My Dad keeps saying how cool it was to see everyone hitting balls from the kids to the older folks and all the girls in their nice dresses!”
THE DUNES HOUSE CEREMONY
Michelle and Matt exchanged vows under a beautiful arbor that was provided by Palmetto Dunes, surrounded by the breathtaking ocean views Hilton Head Island has to offer. Their family and friends looked on in love and support. They had wonderful meals, speeches, and danced the night away on The Dunes House deck.

“The fact that we could have the ceremony on the beach and reception on the deck of The Dunes House. No travel between venues and got the destination wedding we were dreaming of. Plus the food was AMAZING (our wedding guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had). A special shout out for our beautiful flowers were from Jardiniere Events and the amazing cake was by Bloom Custom Cakes. The entire weekend was honestly perfect. Leading up to the weekend Sarah was so helpful and responsive to all of my questions and requests (and there were a lot!). She also helped to set up all of my personal decorations on the day of. Everything went so smooth the day of and I showed up to the venue with everything exactly as I had imagined it. The setup looked straight out of a magazine, the food was out of this world, and the entire night was the best celebration. We wish it would've never ended!” - Michelle
