Melissa always dreamed of a beach wedding, so when Alex, an avid golfer, proposed, there was no question that Palmetto Dunes Resort would be their obvious choice for their wedding destination. On a sunny September day, they exchanged their vows on the beach under a beautifully decorated arbor donning fresh white flowers and lush greenery.
Paying homage to their hometown of Louisville, KY, the couple incorporated bourbon bottles throughout their décor. As a special gift, Palmetto Dunes even hid a special bottle of bourbon behind the bar specifically for the groom and groomsmen to enjoy throughout the night.
The outdoor reception took place on the Dunes House deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, where guests enjoyed a lovely dinner and danced the night away with live music and the fresh ocean breeze. Melissa and Alex ended the night with an intimate stroll along the beach along with a perfect sparkler send off.
Best Venue with Beautiful Views and an Amazing Team Having our wedding at the Dunes House was the best decision we ever made!!! Planning a wedding is difficult but we live in Kentucky which made it that much more difficult being so far away. We could have not made it possible without the help from Courtney and Jocelyn. They are an amazing team who helped us with every step along the way! They answered every question we had and we had a lot! They are extremely sweet and very easy to work with and know exactly what they are doing. We put all our trust in them and they NAILED IT!!!!!
When I saw the venue for the first time all set up I almost cried. Everything was perfect and was the exact way I imagined this all in my head. You can't ask for better views! I've always dreamed of getting married on the beach and having the reception overlooking the beach and Courtney and Jocelyn made it picture perfect. And the food is AMAZING!!!! People are still talking about how fabulous our food was and I agree! You cannot go wrong with having your wedding at the Dunes House and you will not find a better team than Courtney and Jocelyn to make your wedding dreams come true!!! -Melissa Breuning
